Texas The X-Games Are Coming: Special Message From P-Rod

           The X-Games are proud to announce that in 2014 the events will be hosted by the great city of Austin Texas. This marks the first time in the X-Games history that the summer X-Games are hosted by a different state other than California. It is also an honor for us to present to you Paul Rodriguez who has a special message. Paul Rodriguez is a professional skateboarder of Hispanic decent, born and raised in Tarzana California. Paul Rodriguez who goes by the name P-Rod is no stranger to X-Games in the past ten years P-Rod has earned an impressive eleven medals won at the past X-Games events. We would now be handing over this message over to P-Rod.

            First of all I would like to thank ESPN who brings to you the X-Games, they are the reason my career has shaped out to be what it is today. As a member of the Hispanic community I’m proud to participate in these events that bring in people from across the world and from various countries.

It has truly been an honor to compete with these individuals from all over the world, it has shown us the diversity in action sports. It has also been humbling to see all fans from different age groups, its truly a great feeling and seeing the fans enjoy and have fun are part of what make the X-Games so iconic and meaningful to me. I’m also really excited to enjoying my time in Austin Texas and having new fun elements in the events such as Kanye. I would have never imagined that these events would have the power to bring in all types of people including Kanye West. I look forward too being at the events this summer in Austin with all of you. Be sure to know that you may see me hanging around with these great athletes during the event. I hope everyone that can comes out and enjoys this great event.

When creating a logo for my brand “Niche Marketing” I wanted to make my brand unique, eye popping and pleasing to the eye. In Logo #1 one can see the brand name alongside with arrows that represent the variety and reach that the brand has. however it lacked elements , which make it forgettable and make the logo seem empty. In Logo #2 you can see an image of an individual playing basketball , which catches attention however the arrows take away from the logo and cause distraction , from the name of the brand, which defeats the purpose of creating a logo. The purpose of a logo is to insure that individuals associate the brand name with the logo. In Logo #3 the arrows are narrowed in together making it all flow together in the center with the image going alongside with the brand name (the basketball is the dot on the I) the arrows coming together in the middle focuses your attention to the center of the logo. Logo #4 is the finished product , in a 3d style type image making it eye popping and attention grabbing alongside with the black background which makes the red logo stand out more.

The following image displays a water tower. The base of the water tower is a golf tee and the main round area of the water tower is a golf ball with the Rancho Viejo Country Club logo. This image could be used on twitter account with the following caption “Be sure to take a detour to our Country Club offices for discounted golf play rates. Located next to this beauty” The reason I would use such a caption is to attract people who are from the area that see this water tower everyday. The Water Tower is located right next to the main highway of Brownsville Texas. I chose it specifically for twitter because people generally tend to look on twitter, when they are on the go and not sitting home at a computer and this water tower is generally only visible to people when they are on the go.

The business that is being promoted the Rancho Viejo Country Club. The main promotion is its golf course. I chose this image to be the website header because it associates the brand and its logo with golf. You have the Logo and and golf flag , letting anyone know that Rancho Viejo Country Club is golf. I believe that in a website header it is essential to promote the brand and clearly associate it with what you are trying to sell.

The following picture shows qualities of co-branding in order to advertise multiple products within one. Bud light has been known to advertise through the NFL. Now the NFL is promoting themselves through Bud Light. This is a perfect example of co-marketing. The Buccaneers benefit by getting their brand out their and Bud Light becomes associated with the NFL. The NFL Kickoff logo is also made visible on the packaging, which is promoting the NFL Kickoff.
